  • Pif's Pilot bills itself as "the largest literary search engine online." I have no way to confirm this, but why would they say it, if it were not true? In any case, they've included March Street in their listings and it's only good manners for me to do the same. Give them a look. I intend to.

  • I don't even know what these people are into. Some of them are from the comedy troupe The Groundlings (nest of Pee Wee Herman and Phil Hartman). Others are on some kind of Twilight Zone freak. Anyway, go there and ask and they'll give you a free CD of weirdness. FROGSTORM.

  • “Come, let me gnaw your fingernails that I may absorb and lose myself in the wise and gritty detritus that is you. You so truly know your inner plankton, it is a revelation not unlike discovering an impacted toll booth upon the plains of Patagonia.”
Yes, it's the Surrealistic Compliment Generator. Amaze your friends. Confuse your enemies.

  • A lot of the interesting sites on this list are just places I stumbled across on my way someplace else. This is a really interesting e-book site with dozens of books on various subjects in the form of zip files for downloading. They're shareware--if you keep the e-books, you're expected to send some cash. And not just books, but also software and images (the images license at $500 apiece, so don't go stealing them). What a great place to browse! Reality Software

  • ByLine is a magazine that actually pays for your good writing. And, rarer still, tells it like it is. You'll want to give it a look.

  • Link to The Writer's Voice, an online realsound poetry and fiction reading.

Black Bear Review has long been a friend of mine and particularly supportive of my graphics work. Ave Jeanne is an institution in the small press world and her magazine is first rate in appearance and content. Visit today.

  • Need help with your submissions? Contact Writer's Relief. They will take care of submissions for you and leave you plenty of time to write. (Email: ronnie@wrelief.com)

  • Here's an interesting concept—a random walk through publishers. Give them a click.
  • Algonquin Books, the success story of Southern literature.

    …or Zuzu's Petals

  • Urban Desires--an online emagazine--deserves a look.
